Christian Zal-Herwitz, Ph.D.

Dr. Christian Zal-Herwitz is a licensed psychologist whose experience includes employment as a program manager and psychologist in Primary Care-Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) within the Montana VA Health Care System and the David J. Thatcher Clinic in Missoula. He was previously employed as a PCMHI psychologist at the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics. His postdoctoral fellowship was in PCMHI at the Boise VA Medical Center and he completed his predoctoral internship at the VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System. He earned his doctoral degree from the University of Montana in 2015 and his research was focused on alternative conceptualizations of the self as they relate to psychological well-being, with an emphasis on Buddhistic approaches.
