Philip H. Bornstein, Ph.D.

Dr. Bornstein received his B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University, M.A. in Clinical Psychology from East Carolina University and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The University of South Dakota. His APA-approved internship was completed at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Phil taught at The University of Montana for 16 years before becoming a founding partner of GCPO. Dr. Bornstein has published and presented over 150 papers/publications during the course of his professional career. He is co-author (with Marcy Tepper-Bornstein) of Marital Therapy: A Behavioral Communications Approach (Pergamon Press) and co-editor (with Alan Kazdin) of The Handbook Of Clinical Behavior Therapy With Children (Dorsey Press). Presently, he specializes in treating individuals, couples, and families as well as conducting risk assessment evaluations. Dr. Bornstein has also maintained a thriving private practice for over 30 years and volunteers a portion of his time to various community entities including Missoula Youth Homes, the District Court system, and other professionals.
