Marcy Tepper Bornstein, Ph.D.

Dr. Marcy Tepper Bornstein received her B.A. in Elementary Education from East Carolina University, M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Montana, and Ph.D. from the University of Montana. Her APA-approved internship was completed at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine in Tucson, Arizona. The Bornsteins raised three wonderful daughters and have six grandchildren whom they adore. Dr. Bornstein studied philosophy and was active in alternative education prior to beginning her career in psychology. She did her Master’s thesis on Group Treatment of Children of Divorce and her doctoral dissertation in the area of eating disorders. She is a co-founding partner of GCPO and has published and presented papers and workshops in the areas of children of divorce, marital therapy, and eating disorders. She is co-author (with Philip H. Bornstein) of Marital Therapy: A Behavioral Communications Approach (Pergamon Press). Presently, she specializes in treating individuals (adults and adolescents, many with eating disorders), couples (straight as well as LGBT), and families. Dr. Bornstein has maintained a busy private practice for 30+ years in Missoula. Dr. Bornstein can be reached at (406) 549-7325.
