Jan-Louw Kotzé, Ph.D.

Dr. Kotzé completed a BA in Psychology and a BS in Exercise Science at the University of South Alabama in 2017. He received an MS in Behavioral and Brain Sciences from the same university in 2019. He then went on to complete a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Minnesota in 2025 after completing his predoctoral internship at the University of Hawaii in the same year. Jan-Louw recently moved to Missoula where he is completing his final year of training as a postdoctoral resident at the University of Montana. He will see clients on a part-time basis at Garden City Professional Offices. Dr. Kotzé is open to seeing all clients with any mental health related concern including conducting assessments and evaluations. He has previously seen clients in university, VA, and outpatient settings. He tends to take a holistic approach to counseling within person-centered and cognitive-behavioral frameworks. Thus, he believes achieving optimal psychological well-being involves achieving well-being across all domains of life: mental, physical, social, communal, spiritual, etc. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Kotzé you can contact the Missoula office at (406) 549-7325.
