Dr. Karen Ladanye received her B.S. in Spanish (with a minor in psychology) from Georgetown University, M.A. in counseling from the Catholic University of America, and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Utah State University. She completed her APA-approved internship at the University of Virginia Hospitals. She has 23 years of experience as a psychologist, 18 of those in Montana. She has worked in a variety of settings. doing individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy with many client populations, including adolescents, adults, geriatrics, Native Americans, chronic pain patients, substance abusers and many more. She has both inpatient and outpatient experience. Dr. Ladanye performs psychological evaluations, her most recent experience being providing assessments for the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. Because of her wide experience, Dr. Ladanye considers herself a generalist, but she does have a particular interest in women’s issues and in health psychology, which includes providing psychological services to individuals with chronic pain, tobacco addiction, and chronic medical conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes, and kidney disease.
